Inspired by the traditional method used in sherry production in Jerez, Spain, Malt Master Brian Kinsman first matures the spirit for 14 years in a combination of ex-bourbon American oak, ex-sherry European oak, and new oak casks. The whisky is then transferred to a large Solera vat, where it marries together continuously — the vat is never fully emptied, ensuring a consistent, complex character that evolves over time. The result is a whisky of remarkable depth and richness for its age.
