Every barrel has to earn its place. We compare whiskey side by side, challenge our own assumptions, and look for bottles that deliver on quality while bringing something distinctive to the glass.

Blind First
Whenever possible, we taste without letting brand reputation, age statements, proof, or marketing influence the first impression. The whiskey has to speak for itself.
Taste Against the Field
Samples are compared side by side through multiple rounds. Strong barrels move forward, while weaker ones fall away. Comparing them directly makes the differences easier to see.
Value Has to Hold Up
Great whiskey still has to make sense at the price. Age, rarity, and pedigree can be interesting, but they do not automatically make a bottle worth selecting.
Only the Best Makes It
We do not select a barrel simply because one is available. We look for quality, balance, and enough character to make the bottle feel genuinely worth bringing to our members.

How much do the clubs cost? +
Both memberships are $0 to join. You are charged only when a club bottle is released.
Store Pick Club: around $90 per release and never more than $110.
Unwind+: typically $130–$170 per release and never more than $170.
Applicable tax and shipping are additional.
What is the difference between Store Pick Club and Unwind+? +
The Store Pick Club features exclusive Unwind barrel selections with a focus on flavor, character, and strong value.
Unwind+ is our premium store pick membership, featuring higher-end and more limited store-exclusive barrel selections.
Both clubs follow the same philosophy: the whiskey has to earn its place in the glass.
When will I be charged? +
Store Pick Club releases are scheduled quarterly in March, June, September, and December.
Unwind+ releases up to four premium store picks per year as selections become available.
Your saved payment method is automatically charged when your club bottle is released.
Can I skip a club bottle? +
No. Individual club releases cannot be skipped. You're welcome to cancel your membership at any time.
Membership availability may be limited, so we cannot guarantee that you'll be able to rejoin later.
What type of whiskey will I receive? +
Both clubs feature Unwind-selected barrels, primarily bourbon and rye, with occasional other American whiskey styles.
Selections can vary by producer, age, proof, mash bill, source, and finishing style. We choose barrels based on quality, character, uniqueness, and value rather than simply following brand hype.
What are Member Only Offers? +
Member Only Offers give subscribers access to select limited bottles, special buys, and member pricing not available through our regular store offerings.
Access is unlocked after a successful paid subscription charge. Quantities are limited, and availability is not guaranteed.
Can I pick up or ship my bottle? +
Yes. Choose free pickup at Unwind Bottle Shop or have your bottle shipped where available.
Shipping starts at $14.99. Adult signature (21+) is required upon delivery.
