123 Tequila Añejo — "Tres" — is a certified organic 100% Blue Weber agave añejo produced at Destilería Cascahúín in El Arenal, Jalisco, by the legendary Rosales family. After eighteen months in white oak barrels, Tres' wood character is more prominent — heady on the nose with tannin and wood oil notes that fade after time in the glass, revealing richer versions of the caramel and chocolate notes present in the Reposado. A lovely añejo that really opens up when given time, Tres is named for the three roosters (tototl) that greet the dawn with hopeful songs of renewal — a symbol of virility and power in Mexican folklore, and a fitting emblem for a tequila of superior quality and lengthy aging.
Certified organic, 18 months in white oak, and a story rooted in Mexican folklore — 123 Tequila Tres is the añejo for the patient drinker who gives it the time it deserves.
