The Wild Boar Agave of Oaxaca

Yuu Baal Joven Jabalí Mezcal is a rare and extraordinary expression made from wild Jabalí agave — one of the most challenging and prized agave varieties in the mezcal world. Jabalí ("wild boar" in Spanish) is notoriously difficult to distill, often foaming violently during distillation and requiring exceptional skill and patience from the mezcalero. The result is a mezcal of extraordinary complexity and character that is unlike anything else in the category. Available in a 375 mL format, this is a rare opportunity to experience one of Oaxaca's most elusive wild agave varieties.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Wild and complex — roasted agave, tropical fruit, and a distinctive smoke with notes of dried herbs, earth, and a unique wild Jabalí character
Palate: Full-bodied and deeply expressive — roasted agave sweetness, tropical fruit, and a warming smoke with a complexity that speaks to the wild, difficult Jabalí agave
Finish: Long and warming with lingering smoke, tropical fruit, and a clean, mineral earthiness
