The deeper, red-fruit-driven half of Subtle Spirits’ Echo & Reverb pair. Reverb shares a base blend of 100% malted barley single malts distilled in Scotland, Virginia, and California, but develops its own character through finishing in Pinot Noir and reclaimed Port barrels.

Tasting Notes

Toffee, dried strawberries, red currants, roasted agave, and tobacco leaf build an expressive aroma. Dried red fruit, caramel peanut brittle, and softly integrated incense smoke add richness to the palate.

About the Release

Created as companion expressions, Echo and Reverb began from the same malt blend and diverged through different finishing casks. Blended by Joshua Thinnes, then further matured and bottled in Ukiah, California. The label artwork is part of a paired original work by artist Nick Bultman. Only 390 bottles of each expression were produced.
