We hand-selected this exceptional single barrel bourbon from River Roots after extensive tasting and evaluation. Each single barrel expression offered a unique flavor profile, and this particular barrel stood out for its bold and distinctive character that we knew our customers would appreciate.

We also went all out on the design of this bottle. It’s original, hand-drawn work by a talented local artist. Most bottles with “custom artwork” today rely on AI, but this one is truly different—a literal piece of art.

We told him to go all out, and he delivered. One piece turned into two, and they were both so strong that we said, why not use both? When you pour a glass, take a moment to appreciate the artwork—but don’t forget, the whiskey is still the main focus. This thing is a full-on flavor bomb and just as good as it looks.

Tasting Notes: A concentrated burst of flavor—cherry and burnt sugar up front, rolling into medium-sweet oak, vanilla wafers, and a hit of cinnamon red hots on the finish.

First off, great pick. You can tell some time went into selecting this barrel because it absolutely lives up to the "Flavor Bomb" name. I also love the artwork on the bottle—it really stands out. Hopefully we'll see more picks like this in the future. I'd also love to see opportunities for VIP members to participate in a barrel selection someday, even if it's just a small group. I think that would be a really fun experience.

The price makes this a tough one…$130 for an 8.5 year? Especially when you can get 10 yr cask strength single barrels from the same distillery for half that price? For bottles like this, you hope that it is an exceptional barrel to justify the cost. I finally pulled the trigger and I can say, it is very, very good. It truly is a flavor bomb, and it has that “it” factor that sets it apart from other bottles of similar ilk. If you like the Beam profile then this will be right up your alley. Of course I wish it was less expensive, but I don’t regret having this bottle in my selection.

Big, bold, and lives up to the name - Flavor BOMB!
Nose: caramel, vanilla, dark fruit, oak.
Palate: brown sugar, cherry cola, baking spice, heavy and syrupy.
Finish: long, warm, cinnamon and charred oak.

Overall: rich, high-proof, dessert-forward bourbon with plenty of punch.

Yeah , it's really good ! Offer big flavor and smooth for proof. Lots of fruit , oak and some cinnamon rolls. Long finish that'shas layers of fruit, oak, cinnamon, vannila , oily. The viscosity is good here , it coats the palate for a longer experience.
