Old Louisville Bourbon 10yr Single Barrel 750ml [Unwind Store Pick]

Selected by our Whiskey Club Members in a blind tasting. This barrel was chosen from 9 different barrels ranging from 10 to 11 years old. Our selection is 10 years old at 112pf cask strength with a mash bill 60 corn/36 rye/4 barley. Barrel #50 with 48 bottles available.

Comes with a velvet sleeve.

Aroma: Starts with aromas of banana pudding, Nilla Wafers (remember those from the 80s?), subtle hints of vanilla, butterscotch, and fresh cut grass. Silky milk chocolate then presents itself along with raisin bread, as it ends with tobacco and a whiff of cedar.

Taste: There’s a subtle, soft, and smooth mouth feel, which is accompanied by the flavor of spearmint and a very slight cooling heat spike towards the front of the tongue. There is no real heat-oriented spiciness. Followed by richness throughout with the creaminess and slight sweetness of a cashew. 

Finish: The cooling heat of the spearmint transitions to eucalyptus and eventually builds to be noticeable, as you feel it just behind the lips and a little at the tip of the tongue.
