Lost Lantern hand-selected this cask from Rich Grain Distilling in Canton, Mississippi. David Rich founded the distillery to create a whiskey that reflected mississippi's hot, humid climate. Although the distillery closed in 2020, its whiskey continued to age in Mississippi, and it has achieved that original vision: a true Mississippi bourbon, born of the deep south, aged for 8 years in a 30-gallon cask, this was made from 66% mississippi-grown corn. 17% wheat, and 17% malted barley. The nose has hints of maple syrup, cinnamon, and rich leather. The extremely rich palate has notes of ginger molasses cookies and intensely dark chocolate. A powerful and decadent dram. 

Selected by Unwind Bottle Shop's Whiskey Barrel Selection Team in various blind tastings! We have been sent over 100 barrel samples this year from more than 15 distilleries, and for this last round of blind selections, we tried 28 barrels, including 9 different barrels from Lost Lantern! Our Barrel Selection Team selected this release as our favorite barrel from the various distilleries. There are only 75 bottles, so make sure you grab one before they are gone!
