Established in 1780 during the American Revolution, the Pepper family brand is the oldest whiskey brand made in Kentucky. Fondly called "Old 1776" by its scion Colonel James E. Pepper, the brand was revived in 2012 and has since earned widespread acclaim in the whiskey world.
The 1776 Straight Rye is a high-rye expression that honors the brand's pre-Prohibition heritage — bold, spicy, and built for both sipping and classic cocktails like the Manhattan and Old Fashioned.
