Barrel 101 was in the top two for the majority in this blind tasting, and after bringing it to our Barrel Selection Team, it was no doubt that barrel 101 was the one!

Why is Farm to Glass important to us?:

We've been on a mission to discover the best farm-to-bottle distilleries — places where craftsmanship starts in the soil and ends in the glass. Too often, these small-batch producers fly under the radar, overlooked in favor of big names or longer-aged bottles.

Corbin Cash is one of those rare finds.
By sourcing exclusively from their family farm in California’s Central Valley, they cultivate their own grain — a unique, 100% Merced rye — giving them full control over the variety, soil, and farming practices from seed to spirit. Founder David Souza champions the concept of terroir — the idea that where and how something is grown directly impacts its flavor.

We chose this bottle because it aligns with our vision to exploring more grain-to-glass distilleries. Over nine years ago, David had the vision to lay down these barrels on his family farm, and the result is nothing short of remarkable. These well-aged rye whiskies are bold, expressive, and simply incredible.

Distillery Background: For over 100 years, Corbin Cash has been lucky to have farmland in California’s beautiful San Joaquin Valley, where rich soil and endless sunshine create the perfect conditions for raising the best sweet potatoes. When David John Souza took the reigns of the family business, he set out to discover new ways people could enjoy this delicious food. A love of good times, plus a dose of entrepreneurship, led him to create an ultra-premium spirits company called Corbin Cash, named after his son Corbin Cash Souza.
