The Pinnacle of Japanese Single Malt
Yamazaki 18 Year is the crown jewel of Suntory's legendary distillery — Japan's oldest, nestled at the confluence of three rivers in the hills outside Kyoto. Aged for a minimum of 18 years in a combination of American, Spanish, and Japanese Mizunara oak casks, this expression is a masterclass in patience, precision, and the art of Japanese whisky-making. Bottles are rare, allocations are limited, and every pour is an occasion.
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Rich dried fruit, ripe plum, and dark chocolate layered over sandalwood and a whisper of incense from the Mizunara oak.
- Palate: Luxuriously full-bodied with notes of fig, espresso, candied orange peel, and toasted coconut — beautifully balanced with a silky, warming texture.
- Finish: Exceptionally long and elegant, with lingering spice, dark cherry, and a subtle smokiness that fades gracefully.
