Oaxaca, Mexico. 100% Black Corn. Single Varietal.

Sierra Norte is a Oaxacan craft distillery dedicated to producing single-varietal Mexican whiskeys from heritage corn varieties that have been cultivated in the Sierra Norte mountains for thousands of years. The Black Corn expression is made from 100% black corn — a rare, deeply pigmented heirloom variety that delivers a distinctive flavor profile unlike any conventional American whiskey. Distilled and aged in Oaxaca, Sierra Norte Black Corn is a genuinely unique expression of Mexican terroir and indigenous grain heritage.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Distinctive black corn character — earthy, rich, and complex with dark fruit, warm spice, and a unique Oaxacan terroir
Palate: Full-bodied and expressive — dark corn sweetness, dried fruit, baking spice, and a distinctive earthy depth from the black corn varietal
Finish: Long and warming with lingering corn sweetness, spice, and a uniquely Oaxacan close
