Chacha is Georgia's traditional grape pomace brandy — the Caucasus answer to grappa or marc — and one of the oldest distilled spirits in the world. Shumi Winery, based in the Kakheti wine region, produces their Chacha from the pomace of Georgian grape varieties, aged for 8 months to soften the spirit's natural intensity while preserving its bold, rustic character. This is a spirit with deep roots in Georgian culture, where it's shared at every feast and celebration.
