Sazerac 18 Year Rye Whiskey

Handy delivers raw cask-strength power, the Sazerac 18 Year takes the opposite approach — a refined, measured expression that showcases what extended aging does to a straight rye whiskey. Part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection and released just once a year, it is one of the oldest and most elegant ryes produced in America.
The color is a deep, dark amber with reddish hues. The nose is sophisticated and unhurried — dried herbs, mint, and subtle floral notes layered over vanilla, caramel, and well-integrated oak. On the palate, the rye spice is present but polished: cinnamon, anise, dried fruit, and a gentle earthiness that speaks to nearly two decades in the barrel. The finish is long, dry, and contemplative — a rye that rewards patience as much as it required it.
