Martinique's Finest Agricole, Extra Old

Rhum J.M XO is the pinnacle expression from J.M Distillery in Martinique — one of the most celebrated and respected rhum agricole producers in the world, located on the slopes of Mount Pelée in the northern highlands of Martinique. J.M produces rhum agricole exclusively from fresh-pressed sugarcane juice grown on their own estate, and the XO is a blend of rums aged a minimum of six years in French and American oak, producing a rhum of extraordinary complexity, elegance, and the distinctive terroir of Martinique's volcanic highlands.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Elegant and complex — fresh sugarcane, tropical fruit, and toasted oak with notes of vanilla, dried fruit, and the distinctive grassy, vegetal character of Martinique agricole at its most refined
Palate: Smooth and beautifully layered — fresh cane, caramel, and a warming oak spice with a silky mouthfeel and a complexity that speaks to six or more years of aging in French and American oak
Finish: Long and elegantly warming with lingering fresh cane, vanilla, and a clean, mineral oak warmth
