Rancho Tepua Bacanora Blanco is a traditional Mexican agave spirit from the state of Sonora — not tequila, but bacanora, a regional distillate made exclusively from the wild Agave angustifolia (Pacífica) plant that grows in the rugged mountains of Sonora. Bacanora has been produced in Sonora for centuries and was illegal in Mexico from 1915 to 1992 — a prohibition that only deepened its mystique and cultural significance.
Rancho Tepua is one of the most respected bacanora producers, crafting their spirit using traditional methods passed down through generations: wild agave harvested from the mountains, roasted in earthen pits, fermented naturally, and distilled in small copper stills. The result is a spirit of extraordinary character — smoky, earthy, and deeply expressive of the Sonoran landscape.
