Eight years in ex-bourbon casks has produced a whisky that is lighter and more approachable than the range's older expressions, but no less characterful: the classic Islay peat smoke is present and correct, balanced by a youthful fruitiness and a clean coastal freshness that makes this one of the most accessible peated malts available.
