Cognac Finished in American Whiskey Barrels

Martell Blue Swift is a genuinely innovative and distinctive expression from Martell — one of the oldest cognac houses in France, founded in 1715 — that takes their VSOP cognac and finishes it in American whiskey barrels, creating a spirit that bridges the worlds of French cognac and American whiskey in a combination that is both unexpected and deeply rewarding. The result is a cognac with the elegance and fruit of Martell's house style, enriched by the vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak character of American whiskey barrels.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Distinctive and inviting — dried fruit, vanilla, and a warm American oak character with notes of caramel, toasted wood, and a gentle spice that bridges cognac and whiskey
Palate: Smooth and richly layered — dried apricot, caramel, and a warming American oak influence with a satisfying depth and a clean, innovative character
Finish: Long and warming with lingering caramel, vanilla, and a clean, toasted American oak warmth
