Macnair's Lum Reek — Scots for "chimney smoke" — is a small batch peated blended malt crafted by Billy Walker's GlenAllachie team as a tribute to the old Scottish tradition of home peat fires. The 12 Year Old expression blends carefully selected aged peated malts from across Scotland, matured for a minimum of 12 years to develop a complexity and balance that showcases peat smoke at its most approachable and rewarding. This is smoke with sophistication — earthy, warming, and deeply characterful without the medicinal intensity of Islay.
- Nose: Warm and inviting — gentle peat smoke, vanilla, and dried fruit with notes of toasted oak, honey, and a soft earthy warmth
