Jack Daniel's 12 Year Tennessee Whiskey
Jack Daniel's 12 Year is the most mature age-stated expression in the Jack Daniel's portfolio — a Tennessee whiskey that has spent a full 12 years maturing in charred new American oak at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, TN, the oldest registered distillery in the United States, established in 1866. Two additional years beyond the acclaimed 10 Year release, the 12 Year represents the pinnacle of what extended aging can achieve within the Jack Daniel's tradition.
Like all Jack Daniel's expressions, the 12 Year undergoes the Lincoln County Process — pre-barrel filtration through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal that imparts the signature smoothness and subtle sweetness that defines Tennessee whiskey. At 12 years, the result is a whiskey of exceptional depth, refinement, and complexity — a collector's release that showcases the brand at its most mature and distinguished.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Deep caramel, toasted oak, vanilla, dried fruit, banana, and a rich charcoal-filtered smoothness with 12 years of barrel depth
Palate: Full and exceptionally refined — brown sugar, baking spice, aged wood, dark fruit, and a silky, contemplative mouthfeel that only 12 years of Tennessee oak maturation can produce
Finish: Long and smooth with lingering oak, caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, and a gentle, warming spice
