Zacatecas' Ancient Agave Tradition

Hacienda de Bañuelos Tempemete is a rare and distinctive destilado de agave made from Agave Durangensis — known locally as "Tempemete" — grown in the high desert plateau of Zacatecas. Hacienda de Bañuelos is one of the oldest and most respected producers of traditional agave spirits in Zacatecas, a state with its own centuries-old agave distilling tradition that predates the modern mezcal industry. This is a mezcal of genuine historical significance and regional character.
