The Merchant's Secret — Jamaica & Martinique United

Denizen Merchant's Reserve is a celebrated and distinctive rum that blends two of the Caribbean's most characterful rum traditions — high-ester Jamaican pot still rum from Hampden Estate and aged rhum agricole from Martinique — in a combination that produces a rum of extraordinary complexity and depth. Aged 8 years and inspired by the classic Trader Vic's Mai Tai recipe, Merchant's Reserve is the definitive rum for serious cocktail enthusiasts and sippers alike.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Bold and complex — overripe tropical fruit, banana, and a distinctive funky ester character with notes of vanilla, toasted oak, and the agricole grassiness of Martinique
Palate: Rich and deeply layered — ripe banana, caramel, and a warming oak spice with a satisfying funky complexity and a depth that speaks to the extraordinary combination of Jamaica and Martinique
Finish: Long and warming with lingering tropical fruit, vanilla, and a clean, funky oak warmth
