Buzzard's Roost Cigar Rye is a limited-release straight rye whiskey finished in American oak barrels cold-smoked with aged Kentucky tobacco leaves. The special finishing process layers subtle sweet smoke over the whiskey's classic rye spice, creating an expressive pour whether enjoyed on its own or paired with a cigar.
Made with a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley, the whiskey begins as Indiana rye before secondary maturation in Buzzard's Roost's specially toasted, lightly charred barrels.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Floral aromas, rye bread, light smoke, cinnamon and brown sugar.
Palate: Confectionary sweetness, citrus, hints of cigar tobacco and warm spice.
Finish: Sweet, toasty and gently smoky.
