I really appreciated that Unwind let me pick the one I needed while shopping in the store. A lot of other liquor stores don't let you choose, which makes completing the set pretty difficult.

Nice caramel and vanilla flavors with a little spice and oak toward the finish. It's not overly sweet and has a good balance overall. Definitely a little pricey for what it is, but the whiskey itself is solid and the bottle looks great on the shelf. Worth trying at least once if you're into bourbon.

dont buy much online but picked one up for my father's bday

This was my first time spending a little more on a bottle of bourbon, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I've mostly been drinking Buffalo Trace and Maker's Mark, and Blanton's felt like a nice step up.

i literally cant find blantons so it was nice that this is readily available without hunting

Blanton's is a really enjoyable bourbon, although I think it's important to go into it with realistic expectations because of all the hype. The nose has a nice mix of caramel, vanilla, and a little orange peel, with some oak in the background. On the palate, there's a good amount of sweetness at first, almost like brown sugar and honey, followed by some cinnamon, baking spice, and a little toasted oak. It's smooth without being boring, and the flavors come together nicely. At 93 proof, it has enough character to enjoy neat without being too strong. The finish is probably where I wish it had a little more going on. It's pleasant, with some lingering vanilla and spice, but doesn't stick around as long as I'd like. I also like that it's a single barrel bourbon, so there's some variation between bottles. Overall, it's a very well-balanced bourbon that's easy to appreciate. I wouldn't pay crazy secondary market prices for it, but at a reasonable retail price, it's definitely worth picking up. The bottle itself is pretty cool too.
