The nose is striking and immediate — charred wood and vanilla lead the charge, followed by waves of dark caramel, smoked chili, and a deep, resinous oakiness that intertwines with Ardbeg's signature medicinal peat. On the palate, the new oak influence is unmistakable: bold tannins, espresso, dark chocolate, and a fierce, spiced heat build alongside the smoke, creating a layered, almost brooding complexity. The finish is long, dry, and intensely smoky, with charred oak and black pepper lingering in a slow, satisfying fade.
