San Matias Tahona Añejo is the result of 130 years of experience and time-honored methods at Casa San Matias — one of Mexico's most storied tequila families. This 100% artisanal, small-batch añejo is made according to tradition: the agave is steamed in stone ovens, crushed with the original tahona stone from 1886, fermented in wooden vats, and distilled in copper pot stills — just as it was done centuries ago. The result is a tequila of extraordinary depth and authenticity, where the tahona process extracts a fuller, more complex agave character that barrel aging then refines into something truly special.
A living piece of Mexican tequila history — San Matias Tahona Añejo is the aged expression for the drinker who wants to taste what tequila was like before modernity changed everything.
