What bottles are available through VIP Access?

At the end of each month, we reveal a list of allocations available for that month's VIP Access Event. The full list of allocations are exclusively post online here. We will also provide brief updates on Instagram @unwindwithwhiskey.

When do VIP Access events occur?

We host in-person VIP Access events at the end of each month. The date and time of the event are posted here.

Am I guaranteed to win a bottle if I sign up?

We strive to reward as many members as possible, but we do not have enough for all participating VIP Members as quantities are limited.

Do I need to do anything to enter the VIP Event?

No, Hazmat Members (Tier 1) are automatically included in all monthly VIP Access Events for the opportunity to win Unicorn and Rare Allocations.

Do I need to attend the event to win?

Members do not need to attend the VIP Access Events to win. We email winners following the in-person event. We do not email non-winners.

Is Pappy Van Winkle and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection included in VIP Events?

Yes, each year, we have 2 VIP Access Signature Events, which feature the Pappy Van Winkle Lineup and Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. These are the most rare and sought after bottles around the world, and as a result, it is extremely difficult to get these allocations. Our Hazmat Members have the opportunity to win these Unicorn bottles at MSRP.

How long do I stay in the Tier?

Your points earned within one calendar year will determine your VIP tier for that year and the following calendar year.

Example: If you earn 10,000 points and qualify for Tier 1 in 2025, then you secure Tier 1 status for the remaining of 2025 and all of 2026. Then in 2026, you must earn 10,000 points again to re-qualify for Tier 1 status in 2027.

Where do I see my points and progress toward Tiers?

On the bottom right corner, you will see a Rewards Popup, and you will see a Points Progress Tracker showing you exactly how many points you need to reach the next tier. You can also click on the Head Icon on the top right corner and proceed to the Loyalty Hub tab. From there, you can see more information on your points as well.

Am I limited to one bottle per event?
VIP Members are limited to purchase only one bottle per event.

If I am selected and purchase the allocation, does it affect my opportunity to get selected in future allocation events?
No, purchasing an allocation does not affect future opportunities. if you are in a Tier, you will automatically be included in all eligible events.

Do points rollover for my progress towards Tier Status?

Your points earned towards Tier progress does not rollover from the calendar year to the next, but your points do rollover for rewards. Points expire after 6 months if not used for rewards.

If I earn 5,000 points and qualify for Tier 2 in 2025 and all of 2026, can I still move into Tier 1 in 2026? 

Yes, but in 2026, you must earn an additional 10,000 points to get to Tier 1. 

Does using your points for coupons affect your progress toward Tiers? 

If you use your points for rewards, it does not affect your progress towards Tiers. Example: If a customer earns 2,500 points, then spends 2,500 points on discounts, their total yearly points earned with VIP Tier placement is still 2,500 points, even though the live total is 0 points. There is a VIP Tier Status tracker to automatically keep track of your progress.

Do I need to purchase the bottle if I get selected?
No, you do not need to purchase the Allocated bottle.

What are Bonus Points?
There are certain bottles that earn you bonus points in addition to the standard reward of 5 points per dollar, and you can earn these Bonus Points once per transaction. You can access this collection of bottles under the Rewards Tab.

Do I have a better opportunity to be selected to purchase Allocations if I spend more?
Every 5,000 points earned exceeding our Hazmat Tier (10,000 points) gives you an increased opportunity to be randomly selected. 

How do these events work?

Each month, we will have a list of allocations on our website with quantity and pricing (public) and a list of eligible VIP Members (private).

For the purposes of the Allocation Events, your Account Name, email address, and VIP Tier Status from our Rewards Software will be used to automatically generate lists of eligible VIP Members. These lists will be used in software to randomly select names based on our Order of Random Selection.

Unicorn and Rare Allocations: List will only include Hazmat (Tier 1) Members

We call out each and every selected name live in store. Those who attend the event in person and win will get the opportunity to purchase the Allocation immediately. Those winners who do not attend in person will be sent an email and will have 48 hours to respond to claim their allocation. We do not email non-winners. If you do not respond within 48 hours, you will forfeit your allocation. You are not obligated to purchase allocations. After 48 hours, unclaimed allocations will go to Reallocation for Hazmat Members.

*If you get selected to purchase a bottle, we will send you an email, and you will need to confirm by email if you want the bottle within 48 hours. You will have 30 days from the email to come to the store to purchase your bottle. If you are shipping, you will need to let us know, and you will need to pay for the bottle, shipping, and additional fees. Some rare bottles will require additional shipping and insurance fees. If we do not receive an emailed response within 48 hours, you will forfeit your bottle. If you do not purchase your bottle within 30 days, you will forfeit your bottle.
